Sterling Services are delighted to have been awarded the £700K precast concrete works at Bond Street, Chelmsford. This followed a very quick tendering process markedly uncharacteristic of the industry, which involved working closely with the main contractor, Bowmer & Kirkland.
Sterling will be providing the design, manufacture and installation of the precast cladding façade in Portland, Dolomite and grey architectural concrete finishes. The design work has now commenced with a programme to begin manufacture at the end of May and installation due to be complete by the end of this year.
The riverside development is hoped to raise Chelmsford’s retail spend by 27% to £660M with a vibrant and relevant new retail and leisure space, including a 120,000 sqft John Lewis flagship store, underground car parking, riverside eateries and multiplex cinema.
