Sterling Services has been awarded the £1.3M contract with BAM Construction to provide the design, manufacture and installation of precast panels, band course and copings in a medium acid etched Portland finish.
Panels will range from a mixture of intricate scalloped panels to large flat panels weighing up to 6.5 tonnes and will be installed using a mixture of hanging bracket fixings systems and traditional bracketry.
The Centre, designed by Fellden Clegg Bradley Studios will house large study spaces, consultation rooms and a large 550 seat auditorium for students of Cardiff University.
Manufacture of panels has now begun with installation due to begin this summer.
