Draughtsman/Designer
Reading, Berkshire

£negotiable depending on experience
Permanent, full time position based in Reading
8am – 5pm

We design, manufacture and install bespoke architectural pre-cast products and are looking to expand our capability. Our contracts are varied and interesting, ranging in value from £10k to £3m.

Primary functions will include:
Preparation of GA drawings showing elevations, sections & plans of precast panels on building. Production drawings of P.C panels including reinforcement details. Liaison with clients & professional team.

Key Attributes:
• Good knowledge of building construction
• Experience in the use of AutoCAD
• A confident and enthusiastic attitude and a can do approach to design
• Communication skills
• General computing skills

Preferred Attributes:
• BIM experience
• Understanding the manufacturing process

Purpose and objectives of the role:

Sterling services Ltd are one of the country’s leading architectural precast concrete specialists manufacturing bespoke concrete panels backed by a commitment to safety, quality, and service.
Due to our growing business, we now have vacancies for precast concrete operatives at our busy Factory based in Hatch Beauchamp, just outside Taunton.
Full training will be provided for those individuals with the desired enthusiasm.

Main duties and responsibilities
• Reading and understanding technical drawings
• Setting timber moulds/framwork to the drawings
• Assisting with the casting of the precast concrete panels
• Finishing the concrete panels to the specified finish
• Any other duties reasonably requested
